Ignacy Jan Paderewski

Ignacy Jan Paderewski(1860-1941), Polish pianist, composer and premier. he studied at the Warsaw Conservatory, in 1884 he went to Vienna study piano; made his concert debut in Vienna in 1888 and began to tour in Europe and his US debut at Carnegie Hall same year. After WWI he went back to Poland and in 1919 he was chosen premier and foreign minister of the new Polish state, which he presented at the Versailles Peace Conference; in December 1919 he resigned both posts and 1922 returned to concert touring. He composed one opera(Manru), one symphony, and piano music.
